Privacy Policy

1. Controller and contact

Arezio AG, Morgartenstrasse 3, 6003 Lucerne, Switzerland, is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Privacy and data-protection requests can be sent to info@arezioag.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Arezio mobile app, the Arezio website and related support, community, subscription, referral, payment and payout services. Arezio is intended for users in Switzerland, the countries of the EU/EEA, the United States and the United Kingdom, in each case where the app is available in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

3. Data we process

Account and profile data: name, email address, authentication state, date of birth, profile image, biography, interests, language and privacy settings, profile appearance settings and your time zone.
Birthday and social data: birthday information, visibility choices, connections, friendships, follows, invitations, blocked accounts, birthday reminders for friends, greetings and personal birthday messages you schedule.
Content and communications: wishes and their wish photo, the framed presentation version of the wish photo, saved and hidden wishes, posts with text, photos and videos, reactions, comments, shares, reports and messages. Chat messages may contain text, photos, voice messages and shared wish cards.
Device access: access to the camera, photo library and microphone, only if you allow it in your device settings and use the respective feature (for example taking or selecting a photo or recording a voice message).
Creator data: creator profile and creator statistics, such as the number of followers and of posts visible to all Arezio users.
Subscription data (Arezio Plus): tier, billing interval, store platform, store product and transaction identifiers, status (for example active, expiring, renewed, cancelled, refunded or revoked), verification time and the link between the store purchase and your Arezio account. Payment card details are processed by Apple or Google, not by Arezio.
Referral data: your own referral code, the account through whose code or invitation link you registered (if any), the persons you referred, their commission eligibility, your selection of commission-eligible persons, plan changes relevant to the referral programme, commissions, holds, reversals and payouts of commissions.
Transaction data: Wunschfunken purchases, grants, transfers, wish support, returned contributions, refunds, chargebacks, balances, rewards and payout records.
Payout verification data: identity, age, country, tax and bank details required by the payout provider. Sensitive verification data may be collected directly by the provider and is not necessarily stored by Arezio.
Notification data: push token, the notification categories you have switched on (messages, friend requests, wishes, payouts, birthdays), quiet hours and delivery records.
Technical and security data: device and operating-system information, IP address, timestamps, app version, security events and abuse signals.
Support and moderation data: support requests made in the app or by email (topic, message, a linked wish or post where you choose to add one, and our replies), reports, evidence, decisions, appeals (including appeals against account suspensions, made in the app or by email), account suspensions and the reason shown to you, and audit records.

4. Why we use data

to create and secure accounts, restore sessions and verify email addresses;
to provide birthdays, birthday reminders, wishes, community, content, messaging and notifications;
to show the "For you" order of wishes; it is based only on information you are allowed to see, such as friendships, upcoming birthdays and shared interests, and is not used for advertising;
to send push notifications in the categories you have switched on, and to respect your quiet hours and send birthday reminders and scheduled birthday messages at the right local time in your time zone;
to provide Arezio Plus, verify subscriptions with Apple or Google, apply the limits and features of your tier and restore purchases;
to operate the referral programme, including referral codes, commission eligibility, commissions, holds and reversals;
to process purchases, Wunschfunken, refunds, chargebacks and payouts;
to prevent fraud, enforce rules, investigate reports and protect users;
to answer support requests, provide data exports and comply with legal obligations;
to improve reliability through optional analytics and crash reporting.

Optional analytics and crash reporting are used only after consent and can be switched off again in the app. Arezio does not use advertising tracking and does not sell personal data.

5. Service providers and recipients

Data may be processed by website hosting, support mail, authentication, database, storage, push-notification, analytics, crash-reporting, app-store, payment, payout, security and customer-support providers where needed to operate Arezio. Purchases and subscriptions made through Apple or Google are also subject to the respective store's privacy rules. Payout verification and transfers are processed through Stripe Connect Express. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect users and the service.

If you registered with another user's referral code or invitation link, that user can see in the app, for you as a referred person: your public display name (or "Arezio member" if no display name can be shown, for example because of a block, or "Deleted account" after deletion), your registration date, whether you are commission-eligible for them and the commissions they have earned from your purchases. They do not see your email address or your individual purchases.

6. Visibility and user content

Profile, birthday, wish and content visibility follows the settings selected in the app. For wishes and posts, including their media, you can choose all Arezio users, selected existing friends or only yourself. Public or community content can be seen by other users. Posts and comments become visible to the selected audience without prior review; other users can report them.

Private messages, including chat photos and voice messages, are visible only to their participants, subject to safety, reporting and legal requirements. Chat photos and voice messages are stored in private storage that only the chat participants can access; chat photos are re-encoded and stored without embedded metadata such as location. If you share a wish in a chat, the other person sees its details only if the wish is visible to them under its visibility settings.

Each wish shows exactly one photo you upload. Wish photos are not edited by AI and wishes do not contain videos (videos can be published as posts). For display, the photo is technically adjusted (orientation, colour space, size, file format, without embedded metadata) and placed, without changing its content, in Arezio's frame on Arezio's consistent presentation stage. Photos and videos in posts are technically processed for display in the same way (for example size, format, preview images); videos can be uploaded in resumable form. To include them in your data export, Arezio stores the original files you upload for wishes, posts and your profile image privately; location data (such as GPS coordinates) is removed from these originals when they are stored. The originals are not shown to other users. Original and processed versions are handled under this policy.

Creator statistics shown on a creator profile only count followers and posts that are visible to all Arezio users.

7. Retention and account deletion

Account access is suspended immediately after a confirmed deletion request.
A 14-day recovery period applies before final deletion begins.
Personal account data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days after that period, unless a longer period is required for security, disputes or law.
Backup copies may remain for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
Financial, payout, tax, fraud-prevention and audit records may be retained for up to 10 years where required.
Optional analytics and crash data is retained for no longer than 90 days.
Copies prepared for a data export are available for download for 24 hours and are then deleted.

Deletion can be started in the app or requested at info@arezioag.com. Before final deletion, open financial matters are settled as described in the Terms of Use (for example returning contributions to wishes without a confirmed payout, paying out your own balance and requesting refunds for unused purchased Wunschfunken). Legal holds, unresolved refunds, chargebacks, fraud investigations or payout duties may delay deletion of the affected records.

8. Security

Arezio uses access controls, server-side authorisation, encrypted transport, private storage for chat media and original files, audit records and other safeguards appropriate to the risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Age requirements

Arezio is intended for people aged 16 or older. Payouts require a person to be at least 18 and to complete the payout provider's identity and compliance checks.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also contact the competent data-protection authority.

In the app you can create a personal data export. It contains your profile, wishes, content, your wallet, subscription and referral/commission history and other account data, as well as the original photos and videos you uploaded, as far as they are retained; for older uploads only the stored version may be available, and the export shows this. Only you can download the export. You can switch notification categories, quiet hours, optional analytics and crash reporting, and camera, photo and microphone access on or off in the app or your device settings.

11. Changes

Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page before they take effect where required. The effective date above identifies the current version.
